Thuraya SIM Card - Prepaid IP Plan
Enjoy the easiest and most flexible use of your Thuraya IP device with a prepaid SIM card and prepaid plans. No monthly contracts are required, and prepaid airtime can be used in any country within Thuraya’s 140-country coverage area. Thuraya Prepaid IP Plans offer simplicity and transparency with a fixed price across the coverage area.
SIM Card and Plan Details
- Initial SIM card validity:30 days from the first call.
- Top-up voucher validity:See details in the rate table below.
- SIM Activation:SIM card will be deactivated if there is no first call within 6 months of activation.
- Maximum SIM validity:12 months, regardless of top-up frequency.
- IP Streaming Service:Not available with prepaid SIM card.

- Usage rate: 5 units per MB (e.g. 25 units = 5 MB).
- SIM card renewal: Each top-up will extend the SIM card's validity period from the expiration date. However, the maximum SIM card validity period shall not exceed 12 months.
- Charge calculation: Standard IP Service will charge according to each 100 KB data block.
- Standard IP Service: Provides shared bandwidth, always-on connection, with maximum speeds up to 444 Kbps. Charges are based on uploaded and downloaded data (in MB).
Important notice
- By requesting activation of prepaid validity, you agree that the network service will be provided before the end of the statutory cancellation period, and you will not be able to cancel your order or request a refund. Please check carefully that the type of validity you order is suitable for your device.
- No technical support:Thuraya SIM cards are compatible with old Hughes phones such as the 7100/7101, but as these devices are discontinued, we do not provide technical support after the SIM is activated.
