ICOM IC-SAT100 SATELLITE TWO-WAY RADIO HANDOVER PROJECT

Nam Viet Telecommunications Equipment Company has completed the handover project of 12 ICOM IC-SAT100 satellite two-way radios to the 575th Signal Regiment under Military Region 1 on April 15, 2025. The ceremony was held at the Regiment's Training Center in Thai Nguyen province, with the attendance of Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Thang – Regiment Commander and unit command officers.

ICOM IC-SAT100 is a Push-to-Talk (PTT) satellite two-way radio utilizing the global Iridium satellite network, enabling instant group communication independent of ground infrastructure. The device meets MIL-STD 810G and IP67 standards, is water, dust, and shock resistant, making it suitable for the harsh operating environments of military forces.

Engineer Le Minh Hai – our company's Technical Director stated: “The ICOM IC-SAT100 satellite two-way radios will be deployed for operational units in border areas, high mountainous regions, where there is no mobile signal. This device has extremely effective group communication capabilities, along with information encryption, ensuring secrecy and security for military missions.”

According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Thang, this new equipment will significantly enhance the Regiment's command and control efficiency during drills and actual missions, especially in the northern border areas.
