ACR AISLink Personal Man Overboard Device
The AISLink man overboard alert transmits your GPS coordinates to other AIS-equipped vessels in the area to alert them that you need assistance. Simply press a button, and an SOS distress alert is sent to vessels within 5 miles of your position. DSC alerts on your vessel’s VHF radio can also be activated. The AISLink automatically activates when your life jacket is inflated, transmitting an alert within 15 seconds to all AIS receivers and chartplotters in the area. Once the SOS signal is activated, the device will continue to transmit your position for a minimum of 24 hours.
Key Features Of The ACR AISLink Personal Man Overboard Device:
- Dual AIS and DSC Alerts Dual AIS and DSC alerts provide two modes of transmission and repeating intervals. Learn more information in ACR’s AISLink Brochure.
- Activation Options The ACR AISLink can be activated manually, as well as automatically when your life jacket is inflated. This integration is critical to ensure the device will activate and transmit your GPS coordinates when a person falls overboard.
- AIS Alerts When activated, the ACR AISLink MOB will alert AIS-equipped vessels within a 5-mile radius of your position and transmit your GPS coordinates.
- Battery Life & Operation From the date of manufacture, the ACR AISLink has a battery life of up to 7 years and will expire when activated. Battery operation time after the device has been activated is over 24 hours.
- Strobe light This ACR MOB has a bright LED strobe light, increasing visibility during nighttime use.
- Durable and Waterproof The AISLink is waterproof up to 10 meters.
- Applications The ACR AISLink is ideal for a range of users including coastal cruisers, sailboaters, offshore recreational, and commercial mariners.
- Ethernet Please note that most modern AIS chartplotters and VHF DSC units comply with MOB receiving standards. However, you should check with your equipment manufacturer to ensure compatibility. DSC functionality may vary – or be disabled entirely – depending on national regulations.
