Our company has just completed the handover of 20 SPOT Gen4 Satellite Tracker devices to Nam Trung Bo Sea Transportation Company in Nha Trang on April 20, 2025. The ceremony took place at the company's headquarters with the attendance of Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan – Director of Nam Trung Bo Sea Transportation Company, along with captains of the offshore fishing fleet.

The vessels belonging to Nam Trung Bộ Marine Transport Company operate in the South Central Coast region.
The SPOT Gen4 is a personal satellite tracking and communication device, offering real-time GPS tracking, emergency SOS signaling, and short messaging capabilities via a satellite network. With its compact, durable design and resistance to water and dust, this device is particularly suited for harsh working conditions at sea.
Mr. Tuan stated: “With a fishing fleet operating 100-200 nautical miles offshore, maintaining communication and ensuring the safety of our fishermen has always been our top priority. The SPOT Gen4 devices will be equipped on 20 offshore fishing vessels, allowing us to always know the vessels' locations and ensure timely assistance in emergencies.”
Fishermen are trained to use the SPOT Gen4 Satellite Tracker device.
Within the project framework, we conducted training sessions on device usage for captains and engineers, including how to set the location reporting frequency, send check-in messages, and use the SOS button in emergency situations. The tracking and communication service is provided with a 12-month subscription package as per the contract.
A representative from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Khanh Hoa province also attended the ceremony and stated that equipping offshore fishing vessels with satellite positioning devices not only meets maritime safety requirements but also complies with regulations against IUU fishing, contributing to the protection of Vietnam's sovereignty over its seas and islands.
