Due to a recent issue concerning outdated GPS modules in BGAN EXPLORER 300, 500, and 700 devices, these units can no longer connect to the Inmarsat network. Currently, only devices manufactured between 2004 and 2007 are affected. However, all other BGAN EXPLORER 300, 500, and 700 devices will also be affected in the coming years and will cease to function.BGAN Top-Ups provide a crucial solution for individuals and businesses reliant on the BGAN satellite network to maintain connectivity.
To address this situation, Cobham Satcom has implemented a device exchange program for the 300, 500, and 700 models. This program allows you to upgrade to the new BGAN EXPLORER 510 and 710 devices, which are compatible with future updates, and applies to orders placed between June 9 and September 1, 2023.
